Few, if any, empty store fronts, with major anchors in lumber and housing, appliances, and Amish furniture and cabinet offerings make Arthur a regular destination shopping area for people from as far away as Chicago, St Louis, Terre Haute and Indianapolis and across the nation. Balanced localized businesses cater to traffic from surrounding communities and include gift shops, grocery and general stores, sewing and craft shops, a drug store, floral shops, antique shops, restaurants and taverns provide most of the needs to Arthur citizens.
