March 15, 2010
A Water and Sewer Committee meeting of the Village of Arthur, IL, was held on Monday, March 15, 2010. Chairman Matt Bernius called the meeting to order at 6:00pm.
Roll call was answered by Committee Members Matt Bernius and Mike McWilliams. Village President Ron Kingery, Trustee Terry Clark, and village employee Jeff Mercer were also present.
M. Bernius stated that as of 6pm, 30 applications have been received for the Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator. M. Bernius and President Kingery have reviewed the applications, and the ones with licenses were discussed. A few candidates were willing to allow the Village to use their licenses as an operator.
The top six candidates were identified, and President Kingery will contact them via phone to determine interest in the position and relocation and their availability for an interview possibility later this week. Butch Jent will be contacted for his availability to assist in the interview process.
M. Bernius stated there is a sink hole in the alley near the comer of Illinois and Pine Streets. A&R had the least expensive hourly rate, and they have a ditch box. Hopefully, A&R will be here next Tuesday to work on the hole.
Chairman Bernius adjourned the meeting at 6:36pm.
