January 4, 2010
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Arthur, IL, was held on Monday, January 4, 2010. Village President Ron Kingery called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. Roll call was answered by Trustees Terry Clark, Karen Good, Darrell Duzan, Matt Bernius, Mike McWilliams, and Iris Dicks.
Approval of Previous meeting minutes
The regular meeting minutes and the Executive Session minutes of December 2l.2009.were approved as presented.
President Comments and Announcements
President Kingery reminded everyone of the importance of completing the census paperwork when it arrives in late February or early March. It will be due in early April.
The Freedom of Information Act information is on the Village's website.
He stated Joe Monahan requested that no action be taken on the bank request for Illinois Street changes.
A meeting is scheduled for 7:30am on Friday regarding subdivision lot prices and marketing.
D. Duzan stated that a meeting will be held with the Street and Alley employees on Friday to discuss this year's expectations.
M. Bernius stated he's received information from Central Power Products regarding a generator for the wells. The cost of the generator is $6,950, but with the other items needed the cost will be about $12,500. He will ask Jeff Mercer to follow up on the information.

The contract with Kaye Dick expires this month. D. Duzan made a motion to extend the contract with Kaye Dick for six months. K. Good seconded. All Trustees voted YEA.
M. Bernius made a motion to approve Gary Jent, Jeff Mercer, and Steve Peterson attending the IL Rural Water Association 2010 Technical Conference in Effingham on February 16-18 with a registration fee of $125 each. D. Duzan seconded. All Trustees voted YEA.
M. McWilliams made a motion to approve Gary Jent and Jeff Mercer attending the IL Section AWWA 2010 Joint Water Conference in Springfield on March 16-18 with a registration fee of $125 each. M. Bernius seconded. All Trustees voted YEA.
President Kingery stated Veolia has offered Clean Up Days on May 1 for the Douglas County side and May 8 for the Moultrie County side. The cost is $910 per truckload versus $865 last year; the funds for this are levied. There were 8 truckloads last year. M. Bernius made a motion to approve the Clean Up Days as designated. I. Dicks seconded. All Trustees voted YEA.
T. Clark made a motion to approve expenditures in the amount of $16,604.19. K. Good seconded. All Trustees voted YEA.
President Kingery adjourned the meeting at 7:15pm.
